Experience Portfolio

A collection of my folklore and collaboration related experiences.

Digital collage of mosses, thylacines, amphibians, quilts, fungus, plants, Deleuze and Guatarri, stamps, roots, and books. Text on the image reads “I am interested in the ostension of myth and meaning in everyday life, which I explore through the intersections between time, the environment, ontology, and phenomenology. My methodologies to explore these intersections are community-engaged, phenomenological ethnography, and/or autoethnography by way of embodiment. Amphibians, quilt-making, moss, mycology, soils, geology, intimacy, cryptids, extinction, resonances – all of these appear in my work. MycoLore by Daisy Ahlstone”

This was created for the “Gathering at the Intersections of Folklore & the Environment” meeting and discussion, sponsored by the Folklore & Environment interest group of the American Folklore Society. This will be displayed during the 2024 Annual Meeting as part of a digital gallery exploring these connections.
